Billy as a ninja, and Madeline as a fairy. They had lots of Halloween fun!

Bill and Jane visited Uncle Steve and Aunt MaryHelen McCoy over a weekend in September. What a wonderful visit we had! So good to spend time with these fun, interesting, and loving people.

This is me sweating it out with 20,000 other runners at the Virginia Beach half marathon on Labor day. Bill came with me for support and to be my photographer and maybe to carry me back to the car! I'd say it was fun but it was hard work. I was happy with a 2 hour 5 min.18 sec time.

Bill had the privilege of meeting President Bush a couple of weeks ago. He expresses that it was a thrill!

School Begins!

Count down to school. 5 days. It will be an exciting year. Kelsey will be a senior this year. So we will have lots of related activities ahead. And decisions about next year to make. Graduation day is May 24th by the way.
Maddie starts middle school which is a big step for any 11 year old. Just watching them all screw up their faces in concentration attempting to open their lockers on Hornet night, and succeeding, was the first of many small milestones for them.
Billy will be in 4th grade this year. He is involved in boy scouts and will play basketball later in the year. He is wanting to start drum lessons too.
Christin will be taking classes here in Franklin for now, looking for the direction she wants to take. She is enjoying her apartment and friends and working at Sally's.
So we have the 4 kids at 4 different schools. Makes for fun!
